Project Overview
The desulfurization system mainly consists of flue gas system, absorption-oxidation system, limestone/lime slurry preparation system, by-product handling system, wastewater treatment system, utilities (process water, compressed air, emergency slurry tanks), and electrical control system.
Project Profile
- Case Type: Flue Gas Desulfurization / Denitrification
- Instrument Configuration: Online pH Transmitter, Electromagnetic Flowmeter, Ultrasonic Level Transmitter
Project Advantages
In the limestone-gypsum wet FGD process, flue gas discharged from the boiler induced draft fan is introduced into the FGD system via a booster fan. After heat exchange through the GGH (gas-gas heater), the gas enters the absorption tower. Inside the tower, the flue gas flows upward and mixes countercurrently with atomized limestone slurry sprayed from the top. The desulfurized gas is then de-misted and discharged through the GGH and stack.
Summary
The SO2-laden slurry from the absorption tower falls into the bottom reaction tank, where it is recirculated via desulfurization pumps along with fresh limestone slurry to spray back into the tower, washing SO2 from the flue gas. Air supplied by external oxidation fans oxidizes sulfite ions into gypsum, completing the desulfurization process. Sinomeasure instrumentation ensures accurate measurement and stable control of key process parameters including pH, flow, and liquid level throughout the system.
