Based on the phase state of the cooling medium, immersion liquid cooling can be divided into single-phase and phase-change immersion systems. Servers or IT components are submerged in thermally conductive liquid or coolant, which remains in liquid state without boiling or freezing. Heat is transferred via heat exchangers to cooling water circuits. Single-phase immersion liquid cooling provides 100% liquid cooling with excellent energy efficiency and reduced maintenance requirements, while offering easier access for inspection and servicing.
